 Textile artist Teena Leonardi designs are produced by a variety of watercolor techniques done with liquid paint on silk which are then combined with hand-woven silk brocades for a striking effect.
The paintings capture the feelings of peace, serenity, tranquility, and relaxation. They transport you to a resort ambience that rejuvenates the soul, relaxes the body, and captures the memory of languid leisure, sunrises, sunsets and oceans. The paintings at first glance are marked by beautiful images and colorations. But then, as you contemplate each piece, hidden details, things you might have missed, are now noticeable, the depth of the meaning that wasn't revealed, opens up. Her work is imbued with meditative quality. "My main objective," says Leonardi, "is to touch people deeply and create a harmonious and joyful effect through my art."
